Day To Day Responsibilities:

The position is for a Lead Software Engineer working with highly talented and energized Engineers to oversee design, development, and unit testing for Platform applications. You will work closely with business partners and stakeholders to provide solutions for business requirements. Responsible for working with integration partners to establish application integrations with internal and external applications.

Design, develop and maintain various analytical reports and data visualizations used during Microsoft's internal business. Reports will be created using a combination of Power BI, SQL, Kusto, and other technologies from the Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Data Stack, Microsoft Office 365, and several related data visualization and processing technologies. Maintain BI solutions, including managing source code, data, and CI/CD pipelines, monitor & analyze usage, and administer BI Infrastructure (Power BI workspaces, reports and data models, SharePoint, One Drive). Participate in support activities and on-call rotation during business hours.

Job Responsibilities:

Design and help develop high-performing, reliable, and scalable BI solutions
Perform data analysis that will support and enhance analytics solutions
Communicate technical details to business and management personnel
Author, oversee, and gain approval of design/architecture documents
Work independently or lead a team to design and develop solutions
Provide meaningful feedback and coaching of other team members to overcome technological challenges successfully
Teaching and demonstrating emerging technologies and concepts to teams
Understanding business operations, current database landscape, and current state architecture pain points. Understand the data model and define the future state data model required for the reporting.
Collaborate with existing database and infrastructure architects.
Identify the downstream usage of data post-migration. Define the migration strategy, architecture, and design.
Identify functional and non-functional requirements.
They work hands-on with data analytics, cloud, machine learning, data warehousing, data modeling, etc.
We are leveraging multiple tools and technologies, including data management, ETL, data modeling, and BI tools. Expertise in schema design, developing data models (Dimensions and Facts), and a proven ability to work with complex data is required.
She manages client expectations, meets deadlines, and works in an agile environment.
Experience with a structured application development methodology using any industry-standard Software Development Lifecycle and agile methods.
Should be familiar with and experienced in SQL and data modeling, visualization tools development, and administration.
Has strong business acumen and technical knowledge to translate the business requirement into powerful visuals and charts
We are developing visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards.
I am connecting to data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business Intelligence.
Excellent analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
Should have knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis.
Must have good communication skills and the ability to talk and work with clients.

Skills Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
12+ years of experience with PowerBI (Visualizations, DAX, Power Query, Data Modeling)
Fluent with querying large volumes of data in SQL or Kusto databases, data management (Azure Data Framework, SSIS, Synapse)
Good communication and technical writing skills (blogging, documentation)
